Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has revealed that Egypt star Mohamed Salah could return to training sessions next week.
Mohamed Salah sustained a hamstring injury during Egypt’s run in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast.
The 31-year-old played the full 90 minutes against Mozambique and had to leave the pitch just before half-time in their draw with Ghana.
Despite returning early to Anfield, Salah still missed several crucial games for Liverpool against Chelsea and Arsenal and will now definitely miss the Burnley clash as well.
Speaking ahead of the game, Klopp said: “Mo is going in the right direction.
“We hope, but we don’t know, that he can be a part of part of training next week. But we have to see.
“He is going through all the paces now and it looks positive. It’s either next week or the week after. If you ask him, it’s next week.”
