Former Wolves manager Julen Lopetegui has reportedly rejected an offer to become Ittihad Jeddah’s new head coach.
Ittihad had sacked Nuno Espirito Santo last week after a poor run of form in the Saudi Pro League and the AFC Champions League.
Just days after Santo’s dismissal, multiple reports have emerged linking Jose Mourinho and Julen Lopetegui with the Saudi giants with the latter being the preferred option.
Despite an initial agreement between the pair, it seems that Lopetegui turned down the opportunity to coach in the Middle East after changing his mind.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Lopetegui has set his sights on a Premier League return after receiving new proposals from several English clubs.
The Spaniard last managed Wolverhampton Wanderers and left Molineux before the start of the season over a dispute with the board.
