Al Ahly head coach Marcel Koller has named his 21-man squad for their clash against CR Belouizdad in the CAF Champions League.
The Red Devils were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw against Young Africans last week despite taking a late lead through Percy Tau.
With a disappointing result, Al Ahly will look to bounce back as they take on Algeria’s CR Belouizdad at home on Friday.
Ahead of the encounter, Marcel Koller announced his squad and decided to leave out a number of players.
Ahmed Abdelkader, Akram Tawfik, and Salah Mosen have all been excluded from the squad while summer-signing Anthony Modeste makes his return after recovering from a minor injury.
Full squad:
Goalkeepers: Mohamed El-Shenawy, Mostafa Shobeir, and Hamza Alaa.
Defenders: Khaled Abdel-Fattah, Ramy Rabia, Yasser Ibrahim, Ali Maaloul, Mohamed Abdelmonem, Mohamed Hany, and Karim Fouad.
Midfielders: Marwan Ateya, Aliou Dieng, Hussein El-Shahat, Amr El-Sulya, Mohamed Magdy Afsha, Emam Ashour, Taher Mohamed, and Ahmed Nabil Kouka.
Forwards: Mahmoud Kahraba, Percy Tau, and Anthony Modeste.
