Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has been included in Alan Shearer’s Premier League Team of the Season so far.
The Reds had defeated Newcastle United 4-2 in the Premier League last week to go top of the table after 20 games played.
Salah put on a sensational performance as he got on the scoresheet twice in the second half and assisted Cody Gakpo for Liverpool’s third goal of the night.
His contributions meant that he now has 14 strikes and eight assists halfway through the season before heading to the Africa Cup of Nations.
As a result, the 31-year-old made Alan Shearer’s Team of the Season so far alongside Son Heung-min, Ollie Watkins, and Jarrod Bowen in attack.
The team also featured Liverpool teammates Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold as well as Arsenal duo William Saliba and Declan Rice.
