Saudi giants Al-Nassr have reportedly approached Leicester City defender Harry Souttar over a potential January move.
Having conceded 23 goals in 19 league games this season, Al-Nassr have been working hard to strengthen their defensive line, having lost Hassan Tambakti to Al-Hilal in the summer.
Al-Nassr did still sign Aymeric Laporte and Alex Telles in the summer, but it seems like that wasn’t enough to solve the defensive woes.
This led the club to shift their focus to Leicester City centre-back Harry Souttar, who has been reportedly approached by the Saudis over a winter move, according to journalist Rudy Galetti.
Souttar is currently in Qatar, competing with the Australian national in the 2023 AFC Asian Cup, as the Socceroos open their campaign with an easy game against India.
The signing of Souttar would help Al-Nassr massively in the AFC Champions League as each team is allowed to field up to six foreign players, but at least one of those players must be from another Asian nation.
However, Al-Nassr won’t be able to complete the deal until they let go of Seko Fofana, who is close to leaving the club on loan in the upcoming few days.
