Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has provided an injury update on Mohamed Salah before their Premier League clash against Chelsea.
Mohamed Salah sustained a hamstring injury during Egypt’s run in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast.
The 31-year-old played the full 90 minutes against Mozambique and had to leave the pitch just before half-time in their draw with Ghana.
As a result, Jurgen Klopp had announced that the winger will make his early departure to Liverpool to continue his recovery.

Despite hopes of a potential return against Arsenal next week, Klopp revealed that Salah still has a long way to go and will need more time to heal.
“He’s not ready for this game, not ready for the next game [against Arsenal]…and then not,” Klopp said in the press conference.
“So he’s injured. I’m not sure if there was a misunderstanding in the beginning. He’s injured and a muscle injury takes time.
“It could have been much worse, but he’s not available at the moment. He’s just doing his rehab.”
