Al Ahly have completed the double signing of highly rated Ghanaian prospects Samuel Oppong and Reindorf Adom Sarbah.
The duo was part of five Ghanaian players who underwent trials recently at Al Ahly in light of the club’s strategy to search for African talents and benefit from them.
But it was Samuel Oppong and Reindorf Adom Sarbah who impressed club legend and head of the youth sector Walid Soliman as well as Badr Ragab, the youth sector’s technical director.
Samuel Oppong, who plays as a striker, joins from Slovenian side MSK Zilina while left-back Sarbah arrives from Ghanaian club Cheetah FC, with both signing four-and-a-half-year deals.
According to the regulations, teams in the top division are allowed to register a maximum of five foreign players and three foreign players in different age categories.
Oppong and Sarbah will join Tunisian talent Mohamed Dhaoui Cresto, who already features for the first team, playing 13 times under Marcel Koller.
