Mohamed Salah has returned to Liverpool training for the first time since picking up a hamstring injury at the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Egypt captain sustained a hamstring injury during the Pharaohs’ run in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast.
The 31-year-old played the full 90 minutes against Mozambique and had to leave the pitch just before half-time in their draw with Ghana.
Despite returning early to Anfield, Salah still missed several crucial games for Liverpool against Chelsea, Arsenal, and most recently Burnley as well.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp had revealed that Salah could return to training sessions next week; however, it appears he made a premature return.
Salah was seen at the AXA Training Centre as he took part in the full team training sessions ahead of their next game at Brentford.
Having missed almost four weeks of action, Salah is expected to be limited to substitute action if he is indeed fit enough before of the Brentford trip.
