The Egyptian national team achieved their second victory in the AfroBasket 2025 qualifiers after defeating Madagascar with a score of 97-66, this Saturday evening.
The Egyptian team had previously defeated the Central African Republic with a score of 76-61 in the first round of the AfroBasket 2025 qualifiers.
Egypt played against Madagascar, yesterday, at Hassan Moustafa Sports Hall as part of the second round of Group D clashes in the AfroBasket 2025 qualifiers.
Egypt entered the game strongly and secured the first quarter with a lead of nine points, ending with a score of 23-14. They widened the gap in the second quarter to 16 points, ending with a score of 50-34.
The Egyptian team further strengthened its lead in the third quarter, which ended with a score of 70-53, a lead of 17 points. The Pharaohs extended the lead in the fourth and final quarter to 31 points, resulting in Egypt’s victory with a score of 97-66.
The African qualifiers competitions will conclude tomorrow, Sunday, with a match between Egypt and Ivory Coast at 7:00 PM at the Hassan Moustafa Sports Hall.
Both the Egyptian and Ivory Coast national teams top Group D standings with 4 points each, while Madagascar ranks third and the Central African Republic fourth with no points.
