Recent reports suggest that Al Ahly midfielder Aliou Dieng could be making a move to Qatar in the January transfer window.

The Malian international, who made the move to the Red Devils from Algerian giants MC Alger in 2019, has been heavily linked with a move away from Al Ahly recently, with many reports suggesting that Qatar SC are in contention for his services.

According to Qatari news outlet Al Raya, Qatar SC could be looking to move for Dieng as a replacement for Bashar Rasan.

However, according to Al Raya, the Qatari outfit will face competition for Dieng’s signature, namely from Belgian clubs and other teams in the Gulf.

It is also worth mentioning that Al Ahly lost another star man to a Qatari side in the summer, when Hamdi Fathi made the move to Al Wakrah.
