French side FC Nantes have completed the loan signings of Tino Kadewere and Bénie Traoré to replace Mostafa Mohamed and Moses Simon during the AFCON.
Both signings join on loan until the end of the season, with Tino Kadewere joining from Olympique Lyon and Bénie Traoré from Sheffield United.
Kadewere, 28, played 11 games for Lyon this season, but hasn’t found the back of the net, while Traoré featured eight times in the Premier League for Sheffield and also failed to score.
Nantes boss Pierre Aristouy will hope the two forwards can replace Mostafa Mohamed and Moses Simon during their time at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations this month.
Mohamed’s Egypt was drawn in group B with Ghana, Cape Verde, and Mozambique, while Nigeria are in group A with hosts Ivory Coast, Equatorial Guinea, and Guinea-Bissau.
